Storms will Come is a series of twelve small print/paintings executed on scarified Formica. I made these between August and November of 2020, a period of massive wildfires in California, of intense heat, of the corona virus with its forced isolation, and with the disquiet surrounding the elections. Ashes from the fires were falling on my skylight as these images took shape. The series is dark. The times were dark. The solace was in the making.
